The price for out-of-school childcare depends on the length of time your child stays at the childcare location.

As a parent, you only pay 40% of the actual cost of our out-of-school childcare. The remaining costs are covered as follows: 30% by the City of Waregem, 5% by the school boards and 25% by Kindercentrum. Thanks to this unique collaboration, out-of-school childcare remains accessible and available to everyone.

Parents with multiple children attending childcare at the same time will continue to receive a 25% discount for all children.

To ensure we can provide high-quality out-of-school childcare, Kindercentrum invests in reliable software systems for invoicing and certificates, child planning management, child records, the parent portal and staff planning. A monthly administrative fee will therefore be charged, with a distinction between customers who choose:

1. Direct debit and e-invoice: €1.50 per invoice
2. Paper invoice and/or bank transfer: €3.50 per invoice

As of 1 January 2025, additional costs are charged on the monthly invoice. These costs cover the spreading of the registration fee (previously charged annually) and the electronic badging system through the new Tjek management system. This cost is €0.10 per child per day.

Please note: if you pick up your child after closing time, a surcharge of €10 per started quarter of an hour will be charged.

On school-free days or during school holidays: if you have reserved childcare but your child does not attend, or if you cancel after the registration period has closed, €8.94 will be charged for a half day and €17.84 for a full day. This does not apply in case of illness, provided that a doctor’s certificate is submitted within 5 working days.

More than 6 hours of childcare = €17.84 (full day)
